It's Your Choice!

                  We are here to help!

10 ways your independent physical therapist can help you.

1.  Gain a skilled collaborative partner in your health.  Your physical therapist is your ally for addressing issues affecting your pain, movement and function.  He or she specializes in problems with muscles, joints and bones.

2.  Get a thorough, expert assessment.  Your physical therapist will listen to your concerns and perform tests that may evaluate your function, range of motion, strength and comfort/discomfort levels, among other things.

3.  Learn why your body is reacting as it is.   Your condition, its causes and the prognosis will all be explained.   There's power in knowledge and self-awareness.

4.   Form a practical plan for managing and improving your condition.   Muscles and bones need the right activity to feel better and perform as you want them to.

5.  Discover what helps and what doesn't.   Cold or heat?  Stretches?  Exercise?  Your physical therapist knows what works and will recommend the best path for both your clinic treatments and home care.

6.  Establish a self-care routine, including daily activities.  Even the most daunting conditions can be kept in check with some simple rules for daily care.

7.  Empower your recovery.  We're your personal allies with support and motivation.  We'll help you keep making progress and moving forward.

8.  Enhance your health care team.  We'll communicate with you and your health care providers to help coordinate your program of care.

9.  Be proactive.   Your physical therapist will help you get treatment sooner rather than later.  Waiting for a physical problem to go away seldom works.

10.  Prevent injuries.  Heading for team sports or individual activity that you haven't done for some time?  Let us help you prepare.
